I am so sorry to hear of this loss. I worked for Alan several years in Birmingham and enjoyed his leadership style and the friendship we developed. He was a good man and loyal to his family. I retired in May of 2017 and Alan and I had a nice conversation about my retirement plans. He was so encouraging and complimentary of my contributions to State Farm. He really made me feel special and that is what I will always remember about him. My heart goes out to Susan and the kids. I promise to pray that God will hold you up during these difficult times. I have discovered without my faith nothing that surrounds me has meaning. I will pray when the clouds clear, God’s love will be evident and that he will guide you through this. This is one of my favorite verses: Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Love and Prayers, Jeff and Terre Currey
