Charlotte M. Legon

Charlotte Marie Legon was born February 24, 1931, to Bernard Anderson and Vernice Bailey in Omaha, NE. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior at Christ Temple Church. She was later married to Marshall Legon Sr., to this union six boys and five girls were born.

Charlotte received her formal education in Omaha Public School system in Omaha, NE.

She was a hard working women, she worked at Garden Market and Hinky Dinky Grocery store for years and everybody adore her. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, she would do anything for her family.

Charlotte lived life to the fulliest, she travel and she was very sharp dresser. She was a member of the Native of Omaha Club, The Elks and Eastern Star

Charlotte Marie Legon departed this life on March 24, 2016 , she proceeded in death by; grandmother Fredda Smart, both parents Bernard and Vernice Anderson, brother Walter “ Buddy” Nelson, sons Daryl Legon Sr. and Earl Legon, daughters Sheila (Marshall) Fields and Leila Jordan, grandson Virgil Dunn.

She leaves to Cherish her memory Marshall Legon Jr. , Walter Legon, Fred Legon, Everest (Karen) Legon, Bessie Legon all of Omaha, NE, Dalbert( Robert) Johnson of St. Louis, MO, Vernice(Alfred) Amour of Colorado Springs, CO. 33 grandchildren and 83 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Donald “Don” Richard Hindmarsh

Age 85

 

Donald “Don” Richard Hindmarsh,, returned to his heavenly home on March 31, 2016 after a life of devotion to his family and a firm belief in God.  Don is remembered by his greatest gifts to the world; his sense of humor and his loving dedication to his family. Don was born in Wood River, Nebraska on November 29, 1930.  He served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sargeant in the Korean War.  Upon returning home, he married his best friend, Rosemary O’Brien from Grand Island, NE. Married 59+ years, they brought into the world 7 wonderful children. His pride and joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, making a positive impact in each of their lives. Don was also a successful businessman beginning at Hindmarsh Chevrolet with his father in Wood River, NE. Working hard the next 45+ years with Chevrolet, he achieved many successes in Louisville , KY before starting his own Chevy dealership in Red Oak, IA. Retired in Omaha, NE, he sold real estate and kept busy helping out his family and friends. Described by many as intelligent, witty, and selfless; Don brought life, love and laughter into everything he did. Don was preceded in death by his daughters Julie and Lori; parents Donald and Anne; sisters, Joann Shafer and Mary Lou Russell; brother James Hindmarsh; brother-in-law Larry Bellamy.  He is survived by his wife Rosemary of 59 years; his children, Linda, Kevin and wife Karin, Patty and husband Dick, Paula, and Geri and husband Jim; grandchildren Jill, Jared, Kelli, Brett, Luke, Jenna, McKale, John, and Danny and great grandchild Lucas; many nephews, nieces, and friends. A VISITATION will be held Sunday, April 3rd at Roeder Mortuary 2727 North 108th Street from 4-6 PM along with a 6 PM Prayer Service. A FUNERAL MASS is scheduled for Monday, April 4th at 10:30 am, Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Drive, Omaha   In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Open Door Mission, and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Bernadine V. (Holtorf) Seadschlag

Bernadine V. Seadschlag, 96, of Brighton, CO went to be with her Lord on March 20, 2016. She was born on November 21, 1919 in Malmo, NE to Thomas and Freda Holtorf.  She married the love of her life, Charles Seadschlag on June 26, 1943 in Lubbock, TX. Bernadine graduated Malmo High School and then onto earn a degree in Education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Prior to receiving her BA degree, she attended school for two years at Midland Luther College in Wahoo, NE.  Bernadine taught at Central Park Elementary and Benson West Elementary in Omaha. Bernadine enjoyed gardening, canning and preserving her fruit and vegetables from her garden. She loved hosting family dinners and going on fishing and camping trips with her family.  Bernadine was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Omaha. Bernadine is survived by her daughter: Lorraine (Jack) Moy of Brighton; son: Dennis Seadschlag of Norfolk, NE; daughter-in-law: Susan Seadschlag; 14 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Charles Seadschlag; son: Bruce Seadschlag and 9 siblings and their spouses. She was the last surviving family member of her generation of the Holtorf family. A Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00pm, on March 29 2016 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton, CO.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, on April 1, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Omaha, NE.  Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm at Union Cemetery in Malmo, NE.

Betty G. (Salter) Lundberg Denman

Age 92

Betty was born on April 21, 1923 in Woodbine, Iowa to Charles W. and Blanche Salter. She was the ninth of ten siblings. She entered into eternal rest March 19, 2016. Betty lived in several small communities in Southwest Iowa during her childhood. She graduated from Magnolia High School and took secretarial courses in Omaha, Nebraska. Her adult life was spent in Omaha, Nebraska, where she met and married Arthur Lundberg. They had a son, Eugene, who died in a car accident in his early teens. After Arthur’s death she married Edward Denman. Betty worked for the Corps of Engineers for over 30 years. She loved to spend time working with her beautiful flowers and her large vegetable garden. She was a long time member of the Florence Presbyterian Church in Omaha. She was well loved, and will be missed greatly. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arthur Lundberg, husband, Edward Denman, and her son Eugene Lundberg. She also was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. Betty leaves a sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles L.
