of Omaha, NE, Passed Away Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Mankato, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert. She is survived by her niece Gwen Papierniak and husband Karl of New Ulm, MN, nephew John Dixon and wife Roxann of Camanche, Iowa, numerous nieces and nephews and hosts of friends. Shirley was born February 15, 1938 in Sioux City, Iowa to Ora and Besse (Thompson) Weinrich of Hinton, Iowa. Shirley was an elementary teacher in the Omaha public schools for many years. She especially enjoyed playing bridge, bunco and canasta with friends and was a member and past officer of the Satra Temple Daughters of the Nile. A memorial service will be Thursday, May 25, 11 AM at the Roeder Mortuary – 108th Street Chapel at 11:00 AM. No Visitation

Survived by wife of 49 years, Iona “Faye”; son, Jim (Melissa); daughters, Cathy Janes (Ron), Linda Herman, Theresa Muhle (Thomas); and Beth Robinson (Jon); 4 granddaughters – Melissa (Jim), Alex, Angela and Sara; 4 grandsons – Dustin (Dani), Joe, Dan and David; 2 great-granddaughters – Claire and Emily; 1 great-grandson – Andrew; brother, Bob (Gloria); sister, Dianna Dankel (Bill); and Mia, his beloved furry companion.
