Lewis T. Sutton, 84 of Omaha, passed away on January 16, 2018. Lewis was born in Omaha, NE to parents Claude and Verna Sutton.

Survived by beloved wife of 64 years Virginia “Ginger”; children Glen (Lynne) Sutton, Diana DeBolt, and Linda (Bob) Gilmore; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

He served as Corporal in the Korean War until 1955.

He was employed as a smut miller at Nebraska Consolidated Mills, which became ConAgra, and retired after 40+ years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved gardening, and tinkering in the garage.

He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around. One always knew if you made a bet with Lou, you had already lost the bet. “Heads, I win. Tails, you lose.”

You will forever live in our hearts. We will miss your laughter, your beautiful smile, your orneriness, and most of all your hugs and kisses.

Sharon Miller (Foster), Oct 5, 1962 – Jan 13, 2018. Little Rock, AR.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr. and Oceola Foster, and bonus parents Charlie and Margella Sullivan; sisters Helen Coleman, Bobbi Young, Aldene, brothers Frank Foster Jr, Redell Foster, and Charlie Sullivan III

Survived by her husband Norman Miller, children Donovan Sr., Antwain Sr., and Tylina Foster all of Omaha, Ne, 7 sisters, 6 brothers; grandchildren; Jayden, Zariah, Aniya, Donovan Jr, and Antwain Jr.

Also left to cherish her memory, her bonus children and grandchildren.

Deloris was born on July 6, 1923, in Magnolia, IA to Steve and Inez Stebbins .She grew up in Iowa and moved to Omaha, NE in her early 20’s. She met and married Sam Navarrette and they had four children. She enjoyed staying home with her children and the many vacations they took to Colorado. She was a homemaker until the age of 42 when she went to work for Immanuel Hospital as a nurse’s aide. She worked at Immanuel for 23 years and retired at age 65.

She loved watching baseball and sitting in the sun. Her favorite teams were the Atlanta Braves and the Kansas City Royals. Her favorite players were Chipper Jones and George Brett. She spent many Mother’s Day in Kansas City watching the Royals play, soaking up the sun.

Another love was dancing, especially the polka with her sisters at their favorite place “Poopsie’s”. She is probably doing the polka in Heaven with her Mom and Sisters!

She loved and was very proud of her Grandchildren and her Great-Grandchildren and always enjoyed watching them at their activities.

She was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, 1 son, 5 brothers and 5 sisters. Survived by Sons: Dick (Corky), Steve (Julie); Daughter Karen (Rich) Sandberg; 5 grandchildren: Jason, Jennie, Jamie, Sean and Blair; 5 great-grandchildren: Owen, Colin, Alison, Theodore and Tate; 1 brother, 4 sisters; many nieces and nephews.

David Jackson “Big Daddy” was an amazing father, brother, Paw Paw and friend. He touched many lives through the years. Born in Omaha, Nebraska to Mattie Mae Taylor and Tony Vernal Herbert, he was the second oldest son. He shared a great bond with his siblings and family. Very close to his maternal grandmother Fannie Mae Fulton, by age 18 he was set to join the United States Army. A tough decision, but ultimately the best decision. David would return from duty and watch both his mother and grandmother light up with both relief and joy at the sight of him. He comes from a very close family where they were all more like siblings than any other title given. His love was immeasurable. While serving 22 years in the United States Army, upon retirement David chose to settle and become a resident in Monroe, Louisiana where he would reside until his passing. He was an active member and Deacon of Seigle Community Baptist Church and Associated member/Deacon of Philadelphia Word Church, both of Louisiana. David loved his church family and they loved him as well, he spoke highly and enjoyed being under the leadership of Rev. William L. Cann. After retiring and receiving his Bachelor’s degree from University of Louisiana at Monroe , he became employed as Specialist David Jackson for the Louisiana State Probation and Parole Office. He was a member of the Magnolia Peace Officers as well as the Louisiana Probation and Parole Association where he was awarded the State Officer of the Year twice. David was a proud man, thorough and sometimes tough. But although he was  tough, he was a gentle giant. While stern, he had a smile that would light the room, while stubborn… he held a heart bigger than life.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Mattie Mae Taylor and Tony Vernal Herbert; (Brother) Vernal Lee Glenn and grandmother Fannie Mae Fulton. All of Omaha, Nebraska.

He leaves to cherish his children, son- David Jackson Jr (of Germany); daughter- Mahaogany Phillip (Howard); son- Dant’e Jimmerson (Alicia); daughter-Alesia Braimah (Justice) of Omaha; daughter-Aeja Jackson; son-Ashani Jackson of Louisiana. He leaves 18 grandchildren and his sweet girl and grandson Kenneday and  “Jordy”. Sisters- Deborah Jackson; Tammie Aigberomwan; Terra Reynolds (Ball) 0f Omaha. Brothers- Kenneth Taylor (Sabrina); Charles Taylor (Stella) of Omaha. Special Aunts Doris Fulton, Barbara “Jean” Hill, Bobbie Jo “Tiny” Fulton of Omaha. And his special friend and loving fianc’e Judy Harris of Louisiana. A host of nieces, nephews, close friends/family and many more.

Barbara Jean Jennings (maiden name Webb) departed this life on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the age of 78.She was born to Euphemia (Haynes) Mobley and Floyd W. Webb Jr, on March 16, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska. Barbara was born the tiniest baby in 1939 weighing only 1 pound      8 ounces.

Barbara graduated from OOIC with a certificate in data entry. Ms. Jennings was employed at Bemis Bag Company for many years, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for 25 years.  After retiring from UNL Barbara dedicated 15 years to working with youth at Blackburn Alternative High School. Barbara was a member at Morning Star Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, bingo and going to the casino.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother: Euphemia (Haynes) Mobley, father: Floyd W. Webb Jr., stepfather: Wealthy Mobley, Ex-husband: Wynn A. Jennings Sr., sister: Betty, brothers: Donald Avant and Floyd Webb.

Barbara will be loving remembered by her Aunt, Dorothy Pruitt; Step-sisters, Phyllis Mobley and Vanessa Ervin (Jim) and Step-brother, Wealth L. Mobley Jr. (Rochelle); children, Euphemia Jennings, William Jennings (Melanie), Wynn Jennings Jr., Euwanda Jennings, and Donald Jennings (Yvette); extended sons, David VanCamp (Candice) and Andrew McMillan and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Queen Ester Moore was born on August 31, 1926 to the late Mary Ella and Jimmy Jones in Macon, Mississippi. In May 1945 she married her late husband James Moore Sr. in Macon, Mississippi. Together they had 10 children. In June 1965 they moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she began to work at Booth Memorial Hospital. Later she worked at Immanuel Hospital where she retired from in 1988 as a housekeeper. Queen accepted Christ at a young age and attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Macon, MS., Corinth Baptist Church and Morning Star Baptist Church in Omaha.
Queen was known as Bill to her family. That nickname was given to her early in life by her Uncle. She was always a loving and caring person. When you went to her house you knew you were going to be welcomed and eat good. She never turned anyone down who needed a place to stay. She had a very loving heart and kind spirit.

She leaves to celebrate her life children: James Jr. (Danielle), Mary Hopkins-Kinnard (Edward), Ottis (Brenda), Frank (Lorena), Henry (Doris), Johnny, Juanita, Robert Moore, Willie Moore, and Mary Shields. Sisters; Ruthie Groves, Laura Judkins, Nancy Jones, Annie Allen, and Lucille Florida; daughter in-law Palestine Moore. Steven Edward Morlan was born in Omaha, NE on April 1, 1960 to Floyd and Marie Morlan, followed by siblings David, Krisann, Andrew, and Paul.  He graduated from Roncalli Catholic High School in 1978.  He attended UNO, studying Drafting and Design.  He married Cathy Cameli on May 27, 1983 and they had two children, Josh and Rachel.  Steve worked many years in the HVAC industry and was most recently employed with Mid-States Utility Trailer. He was a proud Grampy to Ava, loved cars, and was a big fan of the Huskers and the Chicago Bears.
