Juanisha Elaine Station-Taylor was born in Long Beach, California to Nathaniel Station and Janice Robinson on February 1, 1974. She graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota and subsequently the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She taught English for many years at Benson High School, Burke High School, and Fremont Middle School.
Juanisha is preceded in death by her grandmother: Alice Elaine Station; grandfather, Nathaniel Station, Sr.; grandmother: Beatrice Robinson; and grandfather: William Holmes. She is survived by her son: Gregory Lindell Cooper, III.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Roeder Mortuary located at 4932 Ames Ave Omaha, NE 68104 with the Rev. James P. Walker of Mount Calvary Community Church officiating.

Omaha – Ruby Lucille McMinn was born June 23, 1922 in Protection Kansas. She grew up in Oklahoma during the “Dustbowl” era. Ruby’s early life was made more difficult by the passing of her mother when she was only twelve years old. It was this difficult beginning that forged Ruby’s commitment to perseverance. Combined with this tenacity was a love that nurtured her family and touched almost everyone she met and knew. Ruby was the mortar for her family. Ruby’s curiosity about and interest in the lives of others was amazing. She had a unique ability to connect with people. Her kindness, honesty and sincerity endeared her to people.
Ruby was devout in her religious beliefs. Ruby’s life is a celebration.
She is survived by her loving husband of seventy three years, Harold McMinn, along with four children Charles, Doug, Brad and Kay. Eleven grand children and eight great grandchildren.

“Marie’s is the first voice you hear when calling Westroads East. She has been the store operator since the store opened 20 years ago.
Before joining Younkers, Marie worked for several other companies in Omaha, including Northwestern Bell, and also served time in the U.S. Navy specializing in communications.
When she retires, she and her husband plan to travel and spend time with their two sons and six grandchildren.”

On January 5, 1939, Ida Mae Pettigrew was born in Shreveport, LA to Levi and Mercy Edwards. Ida was the eldest of eight children and her family had several nicknames for her, such as, Mom Mae, Mae and Sug.
Ida met and married Harold Chism, II while in Shreveport and to this union seven children were born. When this relationship came to end, Ida moved to Omaha where she met and married her husband of forty years, James Pettigrew. This union brought seven additional step children and was the REAL Brady Bunch.
Ida accepted GOD in her life at a very early age and believed in him and his Glory until he called her home at 2:00 am, Friday, May 6, 2016. She was a dedicated employee to Kellogg’s where she retired after thirty years of employment.
Preceding her in death were both parents Levi and Mercy; husband James; sons, Harold and Leonard; siblings, JC, George, Ruby, and LV.
She leaves to cherish her memory siblings, James, Mary and Elizabeth; sons Jimmy and Levi; step sons Darryl, Jimmy, and Kevin; daughters, Linda, Patricia and Gloria; step daughters Drewshelle, Karen, Lorrie and Rhonda; nineteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many other love ones and friends.

Evelyn Denise Lyle, 46, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2016. She was born October 24, 1969 in Omaha, NE. She was the proud daughter of Arthur and Marva Lyle. Evelyn graduated from North High School, served Honorably in the United States Army and had an Associate’s Degree in Nursing with Honors.
To know Evelyn, you will remember her by her soft spoken voice and her beautiful smile.
Evelyn was a loving woman, devoted mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.
Evelyn’s pride and joy was her family. As we celebrate her life she lived, she leaves to cherish her memories her soul-mate of 6 years Andrew Taylor; father Arthur Lyle of Tecumseh, NE; daughter Tyrina and son Tyrell Lyle; 4 grandchildren Trevyn, Dontre, Antonio, and Tion; 2 brothers Arthur Lyle, II. of Grand Island, NE and Carl Lyle of Omaha, NE; sister Shirley Johnson (Larry Grant) of Pensacola, FL; 7 nephews Daniel Lyle, Arthur Lyle, III., Carrell Hunter, Andrew Lyle, Brandon Lyle, Noah Lyle and Deon Lyle; 2 nieces Shaunice Lyle and Whitney Carter (Marshall); other relatives and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving mother and best friend Marva Lyle and brother Lee Highley.

Doris M. (Blundell) Randall was born to Raymond H. and Marjorie (Kierstead) Blundell on September 28, 1923 in Sioux City, IA. Her father was a switchman with the railroad in Omaha, NE. for many years. She was a graduate of North High in Omaha in 1942. She was baptized at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Omaha on April 6, 1947 and became a member on that day.
After her marriage to Robert W. Randall, Sr. in 1941, she worked in their office as a bookkeeper until her divorce in 1963. She worked as a bookkeeper for Sunderman’s and Maytag before going to work as a stenographer and secretary at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After many years, she retired from there.
Doris was a loving and committed mother to her children, Rena Lynn (Randall) Mammel and Robert W. Randall, Jr. You could always count on Mom to listen or help whenever there was a need. When she had grandchildren and great-grandchildren she just opened her heart and arms a little wider to make room for them too.
She was a dedicated golfer and until a month before her death she was an avid bridge player. She loved to play games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, even video games.
She was called home with her children and grandchildren by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Charles and her sister Lois (Blundell) Childers. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed.

John Marshall Herron, Jr. was born August 29, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late John Marshall, Sr. and Lena Willey. He was also preceded in death by his sister Virginia Finnie and brother Daniel Herron. He has three surviving siblings: Lena Richmond, Ann Herron, and Lucius Herron. He accepted Christ at an early age. He united in marriage to Ruthie Cage and they had seven children: Countess Mathis, Sheena Jordan, Antoinette Johnson, Darcelle Herron, Tonna D. Herron, Shanna Herron, and Maverick Herron. In 1984, he married Loucille Burroughs and soon after he adopted her son, Derrick T. Burroughs. In 1990, they had a second son, Johnathan Herron.
He was pastor for 40 years in the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church. He served in the Tennessee and Missouri Conferences. He retired from Speaks Temple AME Zion Church in Omaha, Nebraska. Those who knew him in his final days will remember his famous words, “I am excellent and hallelujah.”
