Born in Omaha to Morris and Mary Wright. Survived by children, Debbie (Doug) Cornell, Robert (Karen) Wright Jr, Thomas (Julie) Wright; 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

VISITATION Tuesday, April 5 from 6-8pm and FUNERAL SERVICE Wednesday, April 6 at 1pm all services at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel.  Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Raymond E. Woodbury

February 11, 1922 – March 31, 2016

Raymond served in the Navy during WWII.  He graduated from Huron College in 1946 and was a salesman for the majority of his life.  Preceded in death by wife, Phyllis “Jackie”; parents, Sina and Frank; son, Michael Ray; brothers, Howard, Wesley and Gordon and sister, Betty.   Survived by daughter in-law, Debra Woodbury-Yacullo; grandchildren, Lance (April) Adams, Jason (Joanna) Woodbury and Clarissa Woodbury; great grandchildren, Kylee, TJ, Hailey, Gaven, Cassidi, Sean, Jordyn and Jameson and numerous nephews, nieces and other relatives.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE Monday, April 4, 2016 at 2pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Gerald “Jerry” F. Folkers

Served in the USMC and was on the Omaha Fire Department for 27 years. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Virginia Folkers and brother, Herman Folkers Jr. Survived by daughter, Jennifer Folkers; brothers in-law, Nathan (Tari) Asche and Leonard Asche; sister in-law, Candace DeFord; nephews and nieces, Anthony Beauchamp, Nicholas Asche, Taylor Asche, Astrid Asche, Aaron Asche and Jason DeFord.

VISITATION Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 1-3pm followed by a MEMORIAL SERVICE at 3pm all at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel.

August 2, 1944 – March 27, 2016

Born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on August 2, 1944.  Served in the United States Air Force from 1962-1967.  Proud Owner of Big C’s Handyman Service.
Survived by his wife Karen, previous wife Sandra, sons Craig (Kristina) in Tucson, AZ and Cale (Scarlett) in Topeka, KS, and grandchildren Henry and Bea. He also survived by his siblings Guy (Carmen) in Riverside, CA, Loralynn Retzlaff (Mark Hartl) in Fox Lake, WI, Kevin (Carol) in Rapid City, SD, Melodee Lund (Andy) in Beaver Dam, WI, Melissa Hansen (Erik) in Sheboygan, WI.  Preceded in death by his parents Earl and Beatrice, and three brothers Robert, Lawrence, and David. 

VISITATION Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 5-7pm followed by a time of sharing at 7pm all at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel.  In accordance with Carl’s wishes, his remains will stay with Karen.  Memorials can be sent to the Siena/Francis House or Food Bank for the Heartland. 

Stewart Robert Gorney

Born December 23, 1946 in Rochester NY to Edward and Edna (LeCompte) Gorney, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2016 in Helena MT.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jayne Michelle Riesselman; daughter, Sabrina Rochelle; brother, Kenneth (Janifer) Gorney; sister, Carole Gorney (Michael); mother-in-law, Linda Riesselman; sisters-in-law, Susan Skow, Karin (John) Beck and brother-in-law, Robert (Jennifer) Riesselman. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.

Stewart graduated from Mayer High School in Mayer AZ , May, 1965. He served in First Special Forces Group Airborne, was number one in his graduating class and received an honorable discharge in November, 1966.  He graduated from the computer Training Institute in Phoenix AZ in 1967 as a Systems and Procedure Analyst Computer Programmer.  He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, 1970.  He graduated from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine, June 1974.  He completed an Internal Medicine Internship at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester Minnesota.  He completed an Anesthesiology Fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and became Board Certified in both Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine.

Stewart was a hard worker, dedicated to his family and his friends, generous to a fault, and will be remembered for his compassion, sense of humor and intellect.

In addition to being an excellent practicing physician, Stewart dedicated most of his life to cancer research, always hoping to find a cure for this insidious disease.  The family suggests donations to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, P.O. Age 75 of Omaha.   Preceded in death by mother and father, Laura Bell Phillips and King Johnson; sister, Margeret Thomas; brother, Dave Elzy; four brothers-in-law; husband, James E. Brooks and daughter, Roxanne Brooks. Mary leaves to cherish her memory sisters, Jean Fears, Nonetha Smith, and Suzie Wright; brother, Elder King Johnson, all of Omaha, NE; two sons, James E. (Norma) Brooks, Adelanto, CA and Gregory (Arlett) Brooks, Omaha, NE; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friend, Floyd Hill.

Age 69 of Bennington, NE. Beat cancer and passed away surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by parents, Logsdon and Marcella Glassburner of Dunlap, IA. Survived by his loving wife and best friend, Judy; sons Aaron (Marissa) Glassburner of Denton, TX, Nathan (Heather) Glassburner of Omaha; grandchildren Jaydn Chavarria, Sierra and Colton Glassburner, Zoey and Oliver Glassburner; and brother Joseph (Margie) Glassburner of Carroll, IA.

Michael L. Pyle

Age 69

Omaha, NE formerly of Joplin, MO. Entered into eternal rest February 16, 2016.  Preceded in death by parents, Charles “Jack” and Juanita Pyle of Joplin, MO .  Mike was born in Joplin, graduated from Joplin Senior High in 1964 and served in the US Army from 1964-1967.  He moved to Omaha in 1980 and retired in 2008.  Mike enjoyed his family, reading and traveling.  He married Marilyn Schnieders in 1969, she survives, along with daughter, Dr. Melissa (Mike) Drain of Holdrege, NE ; son, Michael N. (Sheila) Pyle of Omaha, NE; 5 grandchildren, Kailyn and Jacob Drain and Kyla, Solomon and Shay Pyle; brother Charles Pyle Jr. of Joplin, MO; brother in law, John (MJ) Schnieders of Ballwin, MO and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
