Ronald “Tim” Bacon

 3/22/1955 – 7/20/2015

Crescent –Tim was in the United States Army and stationed in Hawaii and Colorado. He received a degree from Metropolitan Tech in Welding. He worked for many years in Omaha as a welder and iron worker. Tim enjoyed building and riding motorcycles and was also a classic car hobbyist. He had a way of making others laugh and was always the life of the party. He will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by grandparents, George and Helen Boyce. Survived by children, Sarah and Justin; grandchildren, Marion and Landon; dog, Tyler; mother, Patricia Ann; sisters, Linda Bacon-Diggs (Ben) and Karen Lynn Poorker (Randy); nephew, Keith; ex-wife, Cheryl; friend, Tom Wingate and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project and Omaha Home for Boys.

A private family gathering was held and details for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Eleanor A. Godkin

2/13/1929 – 7/14/2015      

Eleanor was born in Elgin, NE, to George and Gladys Ward Siems on, February 13, 1929, her father’s birthday. She married Harry R. Godkin on her 19th birthday in 1948. They resided in Neligh, NE for many years while raising their five children. They moved to Omaha in 1956. They moved to Rock Island IL in 1967 and back to Omaha in 1975. Harry died October 7, 2010 after losing a battle with Alzheimer’s. Eleanor then moved to Senior Star, an assisted living facility in Davenport, IA to be closer to her daughters. Eleanor enjoyed watching the birds outside her window, flowers, stamp collecting, post cards, bingo and visits from all her children, grandchildren, other family members and friends. Survived by children, Kenneth (Delores) Godkin, Doug (Patricia) Godkin, LeAnn (Ednell) Bolden, Julie (Patrick) Plunkett, Janelle Godkin; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and sister, Ruth Rouse. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and brothers, Warren and Larry Siems. Beloved wife, mother and grandmother; she will be missed but forever in our hearts. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Senior Star for their loving care.   Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.

Celestine was born Oct 4, 1945 in Omaha to Haskell J. Sr. and Mae Lee.  On Monday, June 30, 2015, she departed this life after a brief illness. Celestine was educated in Omaha Public School system and attended Tech High School. She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, was baptized at Sharon Seventh Day Adventist where she was a member for many years.Celestine married Cecil E. King and was a Housewife. She has 3 daughters, Donna, Arnitha and Jacqueline. Celestine enjoyed watching Westerns on TV. She is remembered as a kind and good person; she was loved by them all. Celestine will be deeply missed. Celestine is preceded in death by parents Haskell J. Sr. and Mae Lee; grandparents James and Luada Crumbly; husband Cecil King; brothers James (Sonny) Lee and Elmer Lee; sister Fae (Dee Dee) Matthews. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters Donna Lloyd, Arnitha King and Jacqueline King all of Omaha; grandchildren Marcus King, Kelvin King, Anthony French, Curtis French, Bobby Joe King and JaNae Marion all of  Omaha; 8 great grandchildren; brother Haskell Lee Jr. (Shirley); god daughter Theresa Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Donald J. Chase

January 27, 1933-June 19, 2015

Donald James Chase, Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. Ret, age 82, of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on Friday, June 19, 2015 in Omaha.  He was born on January 27, 1933, in Nebraska City, NE.  Donald graduated from Omaha University in 1954. He also earned an MBA at Memphis University. Donald served 20 years in the Air Force as a pilot of C-130, B-47 and B-52 planes and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  He flew over 150 bombing missions, including Linebacker II, and was awarded many honors, including the Distinguished Flying Cross.  Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd L. and Alice C. (Brandt) Chase.  He is survived by his sister and brother-in-Law, Lois (Chase) and David Carlsen; nieces, Janet (Chuck) Campbell and Barbara Carlsen; nephew, Douglas Chase (Naoko) Carlsen; great niece, Nicole Campbell; great nephew, Charlie Campbell; cousins, friends and caregivers at Heritage Pointe Memory Care.

VISITATION Tuesday, June 23 at 12:30 PM with a SERVICE following at 1:30 PM at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Air & Space Museum (Ashland, NE) and The Wounded Warrior Project.
