Barbara Jean Jennings (maiden name Webb) departed this life on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the age of 78.She was born to Euphemia (Haynes) Mobley and Floyd W. Webb Jr, on March 16, 1939 in Omaha, Nebraska. Barbara was born the tiniest baby in 1939 weighing only 1 pound      8 ounces.

Barbara graduated from OOIC with a certificate in data entry. Ms. Jennings was employed at Bemis Bag Company for many years, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for 25 years.  After retiring from UNL Barbara dedicated 15 years to working with youth at Blackburn Alternative High School. Barbara was a member at Morning Star Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, bingo and going to the casino.

Barbara is preceded in death by her mother: Euphemia (Haynes) Mobley, father: Floyd W. Webb Jr., stepfather: Wealthy Mobley, Ex-husband: Wynn A. Jennings Sr., sister: Betty, brothers: Donald Avant and Floyd Webb.

Barbara will be loving remembered by her Aunt, Dorothy Pruitt; Step-sisters, Phyllis Mobley and Vanessa Ervin (Jim) and Step-brother, Wealth L. Mobley Jr. (Rochelle); children, Euphemia Jennings, William Jennings (Melanie), Wynn Jennings Jr., Euwanda Jennings, and Donald Jennings (Yvette); extended sons, David VanCamp (Candice) and Andrew McMillan and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation from 6 :00  – 8:00 PM, Monday, January 15, 2018, Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Avenue, Omaha, Nebraska 68104.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at Morning Star Baptist Church, 2019 Burdette Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68110.
