Ivory was born July 30, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Ethel and LD Willis. Ivory is the oldest of 5 siblings. Ivory departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2016.
Ivory grew up in Dumas, Arkansas and attended Wolf High School. This is where he met the love of his life for 49 years, Eurshylene Willis. They married on June 18, 1966 and together they had two beautiful daughters Donna G Wagner and Yolanda Renee Willis. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1973 and began their life together. Ivory worked until his health caused him to go into disability. But, he continued with his second love, having the best lawn in the neighborhood and the love for cars/trucks. His vehicles were always clean even on snow days. Ivory joined the Second Baptist Church in 1973. He held several offices: Usher Board, Chairman of the Deacon Board, Sunday School Teacher and Assistant Church Treasurer. The Church knew if anything needed to be fixed or done to call Ivory.
Ivory is gone from this side, by the will forever be with us. Just remember his spirit and him cracking a joke and saying “Jimmy Crickets.”
Ivory was preceded in death by his father LD Willis. He leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife Eurshylene Willis; daughters Donna G (Timothy) Wagner of Arlington, TX, Yolanda Renee Willis of Omaha, NE; mother Ether Willis of Omaha, NE; grandchildren: Andre D Wagner of Brooklyn, NY, Ashlynn L Wagner of Arlington, TX and Antoin D Brye Jr of Omaha, NE; sisters Delois Willis and Darlene Willis, both of Omaha, NE; brothers Levell Willis and Norvell Willis, both of Dumas, AR; uncle Levell Willis of Milwaukee, MN; a host of relatives and friends.
Service will be 9:00AM Saturday February 27, 2016 at Second Baptist Church – 1802 Emmet St. with interment at Mt Hope Cemetery to follow.
