Passed away at the VA Hospital of medical complications. He was born in Hanover, KS. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joanne K. Grancer (Brock); and children, Jill Grancer, Ft. Worth, TX, Jody Grancer, Omaha, Jerry Jay Grancer (Debbie), Omaha, Jacque McKeon (John), North Pole, AK; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

VISITATION Friday (2/20/2015) 6-8pm at mortuary. FUNERAL SERVICE Saturday (2/21/2015) 10am at the American Legion Post 274, Herman, NE. Graveside Service Saturday 3pm Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Peru, NE. Memorials to be determined at a later date by the family. Special request by family for the funeral service to dress in your game day attire. Luncheon immediately following the service provided by the American Legion Post 274 and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, Delbert and Elma Fulton; brother, Del Fulton; husband, Robert Alexander; and son-in-law, Walter Horning. Survived by daughters, Marietta Horning and Barbara Levin (Harvey); grandchildren, Deb Johnson (Gary), Lisa Mertensotto (Tom), Jaime Rogers, Laura Nemeck (Lad); 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Muriel was born and educated in Wichita, KS. She attended KS State University and graduated from UNO. She pursued her library career until the mid 60’s when she and Robert retired and travelled the world. Our “KS Sunflower” has joined her beloved husband in heaven.

MEMORIAL SERVICE in the chapel at Dundee Presbyterian Church, 5312 Underwood Avenue on February 16, 2015 at 11am. Memorials suggested to Dundee Presbyterian Church Music Ministry.
