Of Omaha, survived by wife Sheila Quinn sons & daughters-in-law Michael (Barbara) Quinn, Timothy (Erin) Quinn, Jason Quinn and Partner Sara Frizzell, brother Jack (Patricia) Quinn. Preceded in death by daughter Alison, son Patrick and brothers Courtney & Bob.

Memorial Service 3:30 PM Saturday (7/7/2018) at Roeder Chapel, Private Family Interment. In Lieu of Flowers memorials to Alzheimer’s Association or Creighton Prep Educational Fund.

Nancy Carr Elizondo

Age 76 of Omaha, NE passed away on July 2, 2018.

Nancy was born on March 2, 1942 in Lexington, Kentucky to George and Ruth (Penick) Carr.

Nancy was an optician, who worked in the eye care profession, at several practices, for over 25 years. The patients & doctors loved her personalized care and making everyone laugh and feel better about themselves.   She was very creative and always engaging in new art projects. Her love of Music & cooking was her calm to any storm. Nancy loved her Family & Friends & her dog “Shorty Boy.” Nancy was one you never had to worry where you stood in her life because she would tell you. She is loved by, and will be missed by so many!

She is survived by her husband; Jim (Jimmy Z), son; Jerry Evans (Kathy), daughter; Jackie Swarbrick (Billy), grandchildren; Jerod Evans (Kristyn) and Alexandra Evans, brother-in-law; Juan Elizondo (Naomi), cousins; Lois Carter, Rick Penick (Barbara) and Bob Wilson (Lynn), many other family and friends.

A Memorial Service in Honor of Nancy’s Life will be held at 6:00 PM Friday, July 6 at Roeder Mortuary 108th St. Chapel.

Inurnment will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 10 at the Omaha National Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, can be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society.

Douglas M Diggle

Douglas M. Diggle, Age 58 of Omaha, NE passed away after a brief illness on June 30 in Omaha.

Doug was born on June 12, 1960 in Omaha to Cleone and Joan (Kirk) Diggle.  He graduated from Burke High School in 1978. Doug married Keely Barnard on August 29, 1987.  

He enjoyed gardening, boating, golfing and spending time with family and friends. 

Doug was a true salesman, at the time of his passing he was employed with Vacuums Plus.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Doug is survived by his wife; Keely, parents-in-law; Allen and Betty Barnard, sister-in-law; Tammy (Kent) Daws, brother-in-law; Tod Barnard, niece; Abby (Colby) O’Hare and daughter Hazel, niece; Chelsie (Christopher) Wilhelm and daughters Ziva and Dayla, niece; Shani (Andy) Sorensen, niece; Ellie (Stephen) Szalewski, niece; Jessie Daws, and nephew; Isaiah Daws, brother; Kirk (Jacque) Diggle, nephew Matt (Kristin) Diggle and sons Ethan, Connor, niece; Beth (Aaron) Guerreiro, daughter Ava, son Easton, nephew; Anthony Diggle. 

Visitation: 2:00 to 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 4th Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel. Celebration of Doug’s Life will continue with a party and remembrances from 4:00 to 9:00 PM at Bogies Bar and Grill, 3305 Old Maple Rd., Omaha, NE. The family requests that you please wear blue for Doug’s blue eyes. 

 

Landen Bennett Johnson Heinze

Landen Bennett Johnson Heinze was a few days shy of his 12th birthday when the Lord called him home.  Landen was an energetic, fun-loving boy who loved any game that had a ball in it.  He was known for his dimpled smile that lit up any room he entered and his fighting spirit.  He is survived by his parents Jason and Chaka Heinze, brothers Treyben and Isaiah, sister Maya and a roomful of stuffed animals, also his grandparents Rudi and Yvonne Heinze of York, NE and Skeet “G-pa” and Sam “Mema” Johnson of Denver, CO, great-grandparents Jerome and LeVauna Weismann of York, NE and Magdalena Heinze of York, NE, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 3, from 2-3 pm, with a memorial service at 3 pm, at Christ Community Church, 404 S. 108th Ave., Omaha, NE.  Memorials may be directed to Childrens Hospital and Medical Center Foundation, 8401 West Dodge Road, Suite 120, Omaha, NE  68114.
