Wayne R. Childers

11/21/1933 – 1/25/2017

Of Gretna, Wayne – husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather – joined his parents, Ernest and Mae (Stokes) Childers, son David, and grandson Jeremiah to be with his Creator. Wayne was a corporal in the Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War. He had a long-standing career during which he rose to managerial and executive positions at William T. Joyce Lumber/Hines Lumber and Werner Enterprises, then “retired” to building homes (Windstar). Throughout his life, he was a farmer at heart. Wayne is survived by his wife Jeri, children Kurt (Sharon), Karen Klausner, Val (Jeff) Lennard, Paul (Patt), Nancy (Dean) Dobmeier  and John (Pam); ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, and three sisters. The family requests donations to a charity of your choice in Wayne’s honor.  

Visitation Monday 5-6:30 PM with Vigil Service 6:30 PM at church. Funeral Service Tuesday (1/31/17) 10:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church 508 Angus St. Interment at a later date.

William “Bill” Anderson

8/30/1927 – 1/18/2017

William (Bill) D. Anderson, died Wednesday, January 18 in Haines City, Florida. He leaves his 3 children, Pat Anderson, Doug Anderson, and Perry Anderson, 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ronnie Anderson. His wife LaDonna and son Dr. Rodney Anderson preceded him in death.

Born in Funk, Nebraska, the son of Walter and Esther Anderson.

Bill had to leave home and move to Kearney, Nebraska to attend high school. He was the youngest licensed real estate agent in the state of Nebraska and worked for an agency in Kearney. He was drafted into the Army and served in World War II and the Korean War.

He was honorably discharged in 1951.  Bill married LaDonna Mae Anderson (Ventling) on March 19, 1950.

Bill & LaDonna farmed for several years in Holdrege, Nebraska, and then moved to Omaha. He worked for Crane Company and for the National Lead Company.  Bill & LaDonna later started their own successful business, the Wm D Anderson CO and Assoc, a manufacturing rep business, which is still operational today.  While self-employed he received several top salesman awards from companies he represented.

After retiring and moving to Florida, Bill & Ladonna both worked at Walt Disney World. They worked the Epcot Food & Wine Festival and also wrapped cookies for the Grand Floridian Resort’s gingerbread House for several years.

Bill enjoyed golf, fishing, carpentry, and traveling around exploring and making new friends in their motor home with Ladonna.  He is a lifetime member of the Shriner’s, a Mason, member of the VFW,  and American Legion.

Viewing will be held on Friday, (1/27/2017) 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N. 108th Street Omaha, Nebraska; Graveside Service on Saturday, (1/28/2017) 10:30 AM with a reception immediately after at the Shriner’s Hall 2823 S. 84th Street, Omaha, NE 68124 (402) 392-0404

Omaha – Beloved husband of Tricia; Father to Heidi, Abilene, Tyler, and Samuel; super Grandpa to Zachary. Michael is the son of Beverly A Croushorn of Omaha and William S Croushorn of Council Bluffs. He is also survived by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Michael loved life and fulfilled his dreams as the owner and President of Liberty Property Management Company. As such, he was a Certified Property Manager (CPM), member and former president of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and notary. He was loved by all who worked with and knew him.
