Nell Louise Jones, Age 83, of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Departed this life Monday February 25, 2019 at her home.

Nell dedicated her life to her ever-growing family as the backbone to multiple generations; to her lord and savior who gave her the strength, wisdom and guidance to lead and her church to which she devoted 30 years of service to.  The lives Nell touched will forever know her grace, kindness and mercy. She retired from St. Joseph Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Jones; mother and father, Julia and Jake Porter; 2 sisters and 1 brother.

She leaves to morn her passing: 3 daughters; Joyce Jones of Omaha, NE, Carolyn Jones of Alexandria, VA and Priscilla Jones of San Antonio, TX: 2 sons; Van Jones of Omaha, NE and Jesse Jones of Omaha, NE; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.  

Funeral Service 10:00 AM Friday ( 3/1/2019 ) at Pilgrim Baptist Church 2501 Hamilton Street Omaha, NE, Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery at Omaha, Nebraska.

Gretna – Born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 2, 1959 passed away on March 7, 2019 at Hospice House in Omaha. Preceded in death by parents, Dale and Suzanne Roxburgh and brother John. Survived by wife, Lynnette and five children, Amanda (Pete) Zimmerman, Adam (Ashley) Roxburgh, Eric Roxburgh, Joseph Roxburgh, Allison Roxburgh and 6 grandchildren.  Also survived by sisters Debbi Frazier (Cecil), Amy Levering (Terry) and brother Mathew Roxburgh. As well as loved in-laws, many nephews and nieces and wonderful friends.

Clarence Flowers, Sr.

Clarence Flowers, Sr. was born on February 22, 1942 in Holly Grove, Arkansas, to Charlie and Myrtle Flowers.  He was the sixth out of ten children.  He confessed to Christ at an early age.

He entered into Holy Matrimony with Vera Morrow in Holly Grove, and they were wed for 55 years.  The family relocated to Omaha, Nebraska, where he worked and retired after 34 years of service from Robert’s Dairy.

Clarence was a providing father, devoted husband, proud grandfather and good-natured father figure to many others.  He loved fishing, walking, collecting cars and spending time with family and friends.  Some of his most memorable moments happened during fish fries, family reunions and other celebratory gatherings.  His presence was a beacon of light that could brighten any dark day.  His wisdom not only touched his family but also extended to those around his community.

He departed his life at Immanuel Hospital on February 28, 2019, at approximately 7:00 p.m.  Clarence Flowers, Sr. is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Myrtle Flowers and siblings: Bobby Dale Flowers, Leodis Flowers, William Flowers, Edward Flowers, Abner Flowers, Charlene Atkins and Dorothy Sain.

Clarence leaves behind to continue his legacy, wife Vera Flowers, children Leodis Flowers, Theodis Flowers, Clarence Flowers, Jr. and Tonia Flowers, grandchildren Jordan Flowers, Jazmyn Flowers, Justin Nilges, Aris Flowers and Alisa Flowers, siblings Emma Jean Jackson, Earnestine Grant, Susie Sutton and Mary Grant (Nathaniel) and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly.

Visitation Thursday 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Roeder Mortuary 4932 Ames Avenue Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral Service Friday, March 8, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Salem Baptist Church 3131 Lake Street Omaha, Nebraska. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Marcy A. Pfund

2/13/1961 – 3/1/2019

Marcy Ann Pfund (Bishop), 58, of Ashland, NE passed away with family by her side at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE. Marcy fought so hard but, physically her body couldn’t go on.

Marcy was born February 13, 1961 to Marcella and Howard (Scheef) Bishop in Omaha, NE. She attended Gretna Public Schools. After graduating, Marcy moved to Minnesota before moving back to Gretna. On December 2, 1988, Marcy married Gale Pfund. They renewed their vows on their 10 year anniversary. They made their home in Ashland, NE.

Marcy and Gale welcomed one son into their family, Jacob. Marcy worked several different jobs over her lifetime but, the one she truly loved was the Assisted Living Home. She was such a caregiver to everyone and anyone that needed it. She was always there for them. Marcy’s favorite pastimes included boating and swimming growing up, beading, making jewelry, and crocheting. Marcy took after her mother when it came to cooking. She was a fantastic cook.

Marcy was preceded in death by her mother and many other close family and friends.

Marcy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Gale Pfund of Ashland, NE; son, Jacob Hietala (Pfund) of Ashland, NE; sister, Tammy (Jeff) Schall of Tekamah, NE; brother, Carroll Bishop of Vadnais Heights, MN; sister, Tracy Crissler of Hopkins, MN; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM; Service 1:00 PM Friday, March 8, 2019 all at Roeder Mortuary 11710 Standing Stone Drive Gretna, Nebraska.

Kimberly Sue Loontjer

November 5, 1980 – February 27, 2019
She was born in Southfield, MI, the daughter of Gary and Sue (Sylwester) Loontjer. Kimberly passed away under hospice care in the home of her brother Kevin, in Elkhorn NE. She is survived by her parents; brother Kevin (Jessica) Loontjer, Rylee, Weston, Charlie; brother Curtis (Nikii) Loontjer, Logan, Rowen, Lyvia; grandmother Betty Loontjer, aunts, uncles other family and friends.
Kimberly received her B.S. at Concordia University-Chicago, her J.D. at University of Nebraska College of Law, which included a year study of Comparative politics at University of Denver. She had nearly completed her PhD work through Loyola University- Chicago and was a professor of political science at Concordia University-Wisconsin at the time of her death.
Preceded in death by Grandparents Arnold Loontjer, Kurt & Dorothy Sylwester; Uncles Wayne and Ken Loontjer. Aunts Ruth Coulson, Mary Sylwester.
