I know your heart is heavy. We will miss our Devin, yet we know there is a party in heaven and a young man is united with his birth mother and many relatives. He is whole in a new body unencumbered. Grace and peace to your family. Our Lord sent angels surrounding his bed.;ever loving and comforting him as they led him to his eternal hope, life and destiny. In this world there is death, disease, and struggles for far too many ,to get the medical support they need. In heaven , there is no pain, only joy. Those who struggled in this life are FREE and loved beyond measure. It is hard to let go. You cannot hold, stroke their hair or give them hugs and kisses. What we give them as parents, by His grace ,is warmth and family love. What they give us is unmearsurable too. The beauty is in their courage, victories and persistance against all odds. When it is time for the struggle to be over, then like a butterfly released from their shell, we see them fly to a new beauty we could never give them in this life. Be very proud Thompsons for this child, our Devin was loved, cared for and advocated for, all his life. He was an example of how God uses family love to surround and joyfully rejoice in that child’s individual , unique beauty. The world tells us that children should be a certain way, but God’s heart within us says, I love you and believe in you no matter what they say. We see the beauty within the struggle. I am sad, I am happy too. For this I know after losing a child, God loves so far beyond what our best efforts are on earth. Today there is a party in HEAVEN. Today their is a reunion of REJOICING instead of pain. Today someone who is greatly loved on earth is whole, running, laughing, talking and fully telling EVERYONE of the great families he had on earth and being embraced by the families that were waiting for him. Words could NEVER express our appreciation Jennie Teal Thompson and Robert. But these words I know Jesus will say to you both, ” WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANTS; WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO THE LEAST OF THESE YOU HAVE DONE TO ME.” All our love from Sarah and I to you and your family.(Feel free to read this at a future memorial if you desire. ) We love you, send our prayers and comfort. Love Mary and Sarah Wiese To Jennie Teal Thompson and family.
