3/13/1947 – 1/17/2017
Diane Schlatter entered into eternal rest January 17, 2017 at her home in Blair, Nebraska. Diane was the daughter of William “Roscoe” and Loretta Dingle. She grew up in Omaha with her sisters, Bev and Sharon. Diane married Jim Schlatter and moved to “the farm” outside of Fremont where they raised their daughter Laura.
Diane loved all animals, and found that her home along a creek in Blair was perfect as she was able to feed all of the birds, raccoons, squirrels and deer who ALL knew where she lived, and most of whom she had even named.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Nelson and Granddaughter, Sarah Nelson both of Omaha; sisters Bev (Jerry) Sanders of Omaha and Sharon (Bill) Voss of Fort Calhoun along with many cousins, nieces and nephews and of course her favorite Grand-dog who will miss her visits, Charlie.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Diane was a regular blood donor so please attend the next Red Cross blood drive and give blood in her honor; that would have meant the world to her.
Visitation Sunday 5:00 – 7:00 PM; Service 1:00 PM Monday (1/23/2017) all at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N. 108th Street Omaha, Nebraska, Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery Omaha, Nebraska
I will surely miss your mom, Laura! She was always a helping hand whenever we needed her! She could always make me laugh with her quick wit! I’ll say a prayer for all of those who will be missing her
Thank you so much.
