Age 66
Our beloved Edsel Gayle Cook, came into our lives on September 22, 1949 and departed February 1, 2016. Preceding him in death, was his sister Tanya Cook. He is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Naraine Cook, daughter Joyce Lowe, parents Roland & Wiljaques Cook and siblings, Von Cook (Catherine), Count Cook (Judy), Cynthia McCullough (Otis), Denise Davenport (Gus), Lindsey DeBerry (Kina) and granddaughter Donnette Lowe. Visitation will be held on Monday February 8, 2016, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Roeder Chapel, 2727 N. 108th Street, Funeral Service will be held at the Worship Center, Church of God, 2021 N. 24th Street, Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment West Lawn Cemetery

Edsel was such a gentle, kind man! Always ready to help when needed! We will miss his friendly smile when he came through our classroom. God bless you dear friend!
Edsel will be missed by so many here at DC West. We are so very sorry and saddened to hear of his passing. Everyone loved Edsel so much and we can’t Thank him enough for all that he did for our school, students and families. He really cared for us all. You will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.
