Ethel has always demonstrated her faith and interest in church through her continued involvement. She served various roles as a member of Salem Baptist for many years and currently is a member of New Rising Star for over a decade. On a regular basis, she courageously would reach out into the community offering time, attention or resources to help whoever might need it. She was the driver of the ‘Red Mustang Convertible’ that used to receive a lot of unsolicited attention. She had an active lifestyle from early morning to early evening. Every year she would grow and work her garden giving the yield to whoever desired it. She loved being outside… Her arrangement of roses and two hibiscus plants, one small with white flowers, another huge with big red flowers, was a front yard delight of the neighborhood. Her ultimate favorite was to go fishing, catch as many as she could, clean them and give them away. At night, when the day was done, she rested by reading herself to sleep. She lived a quiet unassuming life. May she rest in eternal peace.
