Frank Bradley was one of ten children born to Willie and Caroline Bradley. He entered this life on August 20, 1924 in Evergreen, Alabama. Frank departed this life February 7, 2016 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Sally Mae Jackson, Leola Williams, and Annie Lowe Williams; and five brothers: Kerfew, Allen, Alto, Leroy, and Mizell.
Frank accepted Christ at an early age at Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Evergreen. Upon relocating to Omaha, in 1953, he united with the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. David Sinclair.
Frank attended school at Sandy Grove School in Evergreen, Alabama.
He was united in marriage to Artelia Rankin in 1946 in Evergreen. Frank and Artelia parented six children: three sons and three daughters.
Frank served in the United States Army from December 1943 through March of 1946 before being Honorably Discharged.
After his military serves, Frank was employed at Cudahy Packing House and Creighton University. He later had the opportunity to be employed at Metropolitan Utilities District (MUD) until retiring in 1984 because of illness.
Frank enjoyed fishing and sharing his catches with his family. He loved to cook for them and spend quality time sharing food, laughter, and love. He also enjoyed requesting his children to prepare and share their specialty dishes with him. Family was very important to him and he insisted on having cake and ice cream for his children’s birthdays, even through their adulthood.
He was preceded in death by two sons: Alfonzia Council and Kalvin Lamour Bradley.
Frank leaves to cherish his homegoing, his cherished friend Artelia; one son Terry O. Bradley (Bonnie); three daughters Lois J Russell, Annie F. Horton, and Sharon Faye Bradley all of Omaha; one sister Willie Belle Ammons of Omaha; two brothers-in-law Henry James Jackson of Brewton, Alabama and Beamon Williams of Evergreen, Alabama; six grandchildren Chadwick, Marcus, Lamar, Tamicka, Sabrina Lanay, and Tiera Lashawn; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
