Garner was one of those guys that just made you love to laugh! I recall many childhood memories of this gentle, lovable guy who was such a great friend to my parents. I can still picture him in his square-dancing outfit, or sitting tall on horseback on a joint family/friend vacation, or telling his endless corny jokes, and especially seeing that mischievous twinkle in his eye and a smirk on his face, or just watching him crack up in laughter because something hit his funny bone — this is how I choose to remember Garn. His love for family and friends was always evident — and he was quick to give you a hug when needed. Praying for Shelley and Joni — I know how hard it is to say good-bye to your dad. Breaks my heart that you must feel this pain. May precious memories comfort you and bring many moments of joy to your hearts in the days ahead.

Sorry for your lost. Garner was a great neighbor to my folks Maynard and Mary Desel and we were greatful for everything he did. He was a great cook too.
