Jim Harmon was a decorated veteran . He and I worked together at the Post Office until our retirements .He was very active in assuring his rights as a disabled veteran were considered and respected in mgmt. decisions pertaining to his employment. I was his union steward. He had given me the nickname “Perry Mason”, as we never lost a grievance. He helped me as much as I helped him. We had a mutual respect for one another, and we would share humorous conversations throughout workday breaks etc.
I will miss you my friend. So thankful we got to see each other at Bluffs Run in December before your passing. Hand salute my friend for both your civil and military service. Semper Fidelis,
Jim Strawn
So many memories of his family over the years. His daughters moved to Texas and California, but in the long run – they remained close to him. Sad to hear that he passed away; but his knowledge and legacy will live on.
