Born in Omaha, NE, “Jimbo” was preceded in death by his wife, Misako. He was a veteran of WW II, the Korean War, plus the Vietnam War and retired from the Air Force in 1992. He is survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jimbo loved traveling, playing golf, and talking about the days when he was a pilot.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jim. I had not seen him in many years, but I remember all the Christmas Holidays we all spent together back in the 50’s and 60’s and they were all so enjoyable. Most of the Lachapelle family now probably do not remember me. My name is JoAnn LaChapelle Johns. I was married to John Richard Lachapelle (Jims younger brother), and John passed away in 1964.
