Preceded in death by parents Harold & Mildred Asmussen. Survived by husband Roger; children Dawn (Jeff) Bockmann, Kirk (Khristy) Sweeney, Mike Sweeney and Jill Shepherd; stepsons David (Kari) Kirchhoefer, Tim(Nicole) Kirchhoefer; 11 grandchildren; 5 great granddaughters; 3 sisters; 2 brothers; many family and friends. Funeral Mass 11am Tuesday (12/11/2018) with visitation from 10-11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 114th & Fort St. Omaha,NE. Interment Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials to Endless Journey Hospice.

I worked a couple of years with Joanie at UP in the Law Department. She was such a welcoming presence to me and others who were just contractors. She always had a smile and a friendly face. Remembering her fondly today. Blessings to you and your families!!
