When we arrived in Yokohama in 1985 as missionaries with SEND International, Johnny and Anna greeted us and became grandparents to our children. During our first year at the SEND Center in Yokohama, we experienced Anna’s legendary cooking. Over the years, Johnny taught us so many things about the Japanese culture, the Japanese church, and reaching the unreached with the gospel. Johnny and Anna lived out their faith and missionary call in ways that invited us to follow them as they followed the Lord Jesus.

The first missionary conference the Luton Church had after I was their pastor included all the missionaries sent out by that church. Johnny and Ann had returned for their first furlough and shared their heart for Japan and through the years we witnessed their steadfast faithful ministry. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

Johnny and Anna meant so much to my husband and I when we went to church together at Grace Evangelical Church in Lincoln, Ne
My husband, now deceased, and Johnny worked on so many projects at the church and so enjoyed each others company.
They made such a difference in our lives. They live on in my heart.
