    Dear Denny and family,
We are so sorry that you have had to endure the tragic loss of Laurie, your wife, mother, and grandmother. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, And let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

I worked with Laurie ever since she came to Nebraska Christian College. Laurie was a professional. Excellence always shone in every task. But her personal touch, to make people feel valued and welcome; her attention to students, staff, and visitors, brought the Spirit of Christ into every encounter. We will greatly miss her.
Our prayers go out to her family and loved ones in this great loss. Like a sunrise, or a rainbow, Laurie brought light and beauty everywhere she went.

  • Cindy Winter (Minneapolis, MN) says:

    Dear Family,

I met Laurie last year when visiting Nebraska Christian College. Previously we had talked on the phone and sent emails back and forth as she helped with the Nebraska Rural Church Conferences. Last year my husband and I were unable to attend the Nebraska Conference since it was the same day as the Iowa conference. We left name badge holders and name badges with Laurie, and I sent the file of name badges to print to Laurie. She came in on her day off and printed the name badges (and had to do some extra formatting) so that Tony Clark and David Haynes could take them to the conference.

In all my short interaction with Laurie I was impressed with her love for the Lord, the College, and the churches of Nebraska. Laurie was always willing to go the extra mile for everyone. She will be greatly missed. May God wrap His arms around you and give you peace, and may family and friends surround you with love during this difficult time.

  • LA says:

    Dear Family,
I send to you my heartfelt condolence on the loss of your dear family member. May John 5:28,29 truly strengthen you to reflect on God’s promises to bring back to life your dear loved one to a beautified earth where she can be reunited with her family, and never have to get sick and die, ever again. (Psalm 37:11,29; Isaiah 33:24)
