Semper Fi Lucas. Rest in Peace
My deepest sympathy to the Sawyer family for your loss. Please allow the promises from our Heavenly Father, to bring comfort to your hearts. At John 5:28-29 it is promised “…the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…” and at Psalms 37:11 it is promised “The meek will possess the earth, and they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” These promises are assured by God’s love for us all, please reflect on them when you think of Lucas. Also, remember love is always stronger than death! (1John 4:8) (Psalms 83:18)
He will be missed more than words can express.
My heart breaks for the Sawyer family, I can only offer my deepest sympathy. Lean on those who love you as you navigate these troublesome times.
Our prayers go up to our Heavenly Father for the family of Lucas Sawyer. Our grandson looks very much like Lucas, and is the same age.
My Heart and prayers are with your family. Lucas will forever live in the hearts of all Mothers.
Rest in peace my friend.

My heart is so saddened by the news that Lucas has left us. He was such a dear, sweet young man. Please know, Sawyer family, that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure to have Lucas in class. He was a fun, bright, and respectful young man. He truly loved history. I visited with several times after graduation and was not surprised that he chose to serve. He was that kind of person. Deepest sympathies to the Sawyer family.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and loved ones of Lucas. We never knew Lucas personally, but after reading the comments from others, we could see how special this young man was. He has served his country and follow humans with love and kindness. Lucas has set an example for all of us to follow. God Bless. Kraston & Kim Scott, Tustin CA (formally from Bellevue NE)

I didn’t really know Lucas. And it’s a shame because the way everyone talks about him, he must have been a soul to know. But when someone from your community passes away, you can’t help but grieve. I’ve been think about him and his family the past few days. Prayers to you.
My deepest sympathies to your family and friends. I will be including you in my prayers every night for a long time. The loss of a child is the hardest thing you will ever face. He was a very special person. Stay in prayer.
Lucas was a great friend and a lot of fun to be around I have so many memories from scouts this is hard to take in I feel so sad for his whole family and his friends and your all in my prayers and my family’s prayers
We were hikingwut the scouts one Friday nite leaving from the middle school to the farm. As luck would have it, we were getting strong winds – sleet and rain. Another of our scouts didn’t dress correctly, and was chilled to the bone. I asked Lucas if he would check and see if we had extra gloves or a coat anywhere so we could warm this other kid up. Without blinking an eye, Lucas took off his hunting coat & gloves and gave them to the other scout. Never said a word, about himself, just doing what he thought needed to be done. Never complained about being cold himself, but checked in on the other scout to make sure he was ok.
Lucas was SPL when our son first joined Boy Scouts. I remember visiting a couple meetings and being so impressed with Lucas’ leadership. Our deepest sympathies go out to your family.
Jim, Kathy, and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you. We’ve been blessed to know Lucas for about 9 years. What a great young man to have as a neighbor. We’ll always remember his kindness in everything he did for others. He loved playing with Micah on the swingset, and before we had children, we’d see your energetic young man was always riding his bike, scooter, or his wiggle skateboard barefoot. Our most sincere sympathy to your family.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
I am so sorry to hear of Lucas’ passing. I remember him as a first grader. While I wasn’t his classroom teacher that year, I still got a daily hug from him. I remember him being an incredibly sweet boy. Please know you have my deepest sympathy. You are all in my family’s prayers.
