I had the pleasure of getting to know Mike and working with him at the City of San Jose back in the 1990’s. He quickly learned the ins and outs of testing construction materials and was the epitome of conscientious. He was a real gentleman and, yes, he had a way of making wry comments at the very best times. I know everyone he worked with in San Jose will feel the loss when they hear of it. My Prayers to his family.
I also grew up with Mike Lana and Peggy. Words cannot express my sorrow. He was a fine young man who grew up to be an amazing son, brother, father and grandfather. My deepest condolences to his entire family. I shall cherish the memories of camping, and our families spending every Saturday evening together. He will be sorely missed.
I am a very old friend of the Witkovski family, Mike’s parents and my parents were best friends. Because of that we grew up as extended family with Mike, Lana and Peggy. Mike was closest to me in age. I have the fondest memories of camping, catching frogs, Saturday night tag, games, and celebrating all childhood milestones, so many good times. My heart goes out to Vicki, Rachael, Larry, Lana, Peggy and the entire family. A special person has touched so many lives and will be missed. May the family remember the good times and pass on the stories . My prayers are with you at this time of sadness. Rest in Peace Mike, I will remember the good times that were so long ago.
