Michael G. Corbino

6/2/1953 – 8/18/2016

Michael’s birthday was June 2, 1953. It was a date that his parent, Shirley Dulin Corbino highly celebrated. He departed this life, Thursday, August 18th at Immanuel Hospital after a brief illness.

Being the adventurer he was, he decided to move to New York to be with his mother. For 10 plus years, he worked for the railroad system in many various positions. One such position was in the Station Master’s office. While there, he did something that had not been done in history…..he stopped a train from departing from New York and made it wait for his aunt and her family who were running late catching the train to come to Omaha.

After several years, he returned to the “Big O” and it was during this time that he was united in marriage to the former Pearl Mosely. Being a man on the move, he then transitioned to Lincoln, NE. While living there, he worked as a supervisor for several years for Marsden Cleaning Corporation.

After returning to Omaha from Lincoln, and as life moved on, Michael’s health began to fail and although he was unable to continue to do much of his everyday life, he maintained his gentlemanly manners, his huge sense of humor for he never met a stranger and that quick wit we have all been stung by. Yes, “Corbino” or “Magoo” as he was also affectionately called, will be missed by his wife, mom, children, special friend Venita Simpson and all who have had the opportunity to have known him.

Michael was preceded in death by son: Troy “Scoobie” Pittman and father: Mel Corbino. He is survived by wife: Pearl Mosley Corbino, Mother, Shirley Corbino; 5 daughters: Tracey Corbino (Damion Bush), Kelly Pittman (Brian Rekeiza) all of Omaha, Tobie Corbino of Atlanta, GA, Essence De’Chabert of New York, NY, O’Donna Biggs of Omaha; and 5 grandchildren: Hayden Singleton of Atlanta, GA, Preston Woodall, Kelsey Pettis, Ryleigh Bush and Troy Bush all of Omaha; half-brother: Mario Corbino of Las Vegas, NV; aunt Bernice West of Omaha; and bunches of cousins and friends.

Memorial Service 10:00 AM Saturday (8/27/2016)  Roeder Mortuary 4932 Ames Avenue Omaha, Nebraska
