Judy was born in Omaha, NE to Ivan and Patricia Allen on December 7, 1958. Judy has two older brothers, Steven and Mark Allen. Judy graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1981 with a Bachelors degree in Home Economics. She taught at Millard Central Middle School and Millard North High School. Judy married John Dietrich on August 7, 1982. She quit teaching to raise her two boys, Thomas and Jacob. She was an avid quilter and belonged to the Omaha Quilters Guild. She was interested in all kinds of crafts. Family and friends were given many things she made over the years. She loved being a grandmother to Grant. She spent the last few months at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha and was able to spend quality time with family and friends until her peaceful passing on Oct. 5, 2017.

Survived by husband John, sons Thomas (Stacy), Jacob, grandson Grant,  brothers Steven, Mark Allen, nieces Sara, Shannon,  nephews Philip, Brandon, family & friends. Preceded in death by parents Ivan & Patricia Allen.

Visitation Monday 10:00 AM till service time. Memorial Service Monday (10/9/17) 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church  11204 S 204th Street Gretna, NE. Family prefers Memorials to Cerebral Palsy Association.
