Preceded in death by parents, George Neuenfeldt and Clara King (Ibsen); brothers, Don (Leah); William (Vera); and Milton Fraser; sister, Betty Grothe (Duane). Survived by wife of 49 years, Iona “Faye”; son, Jim (Melissa); daughters, Cathy Janes (Ron), Linda Herman, Theresa Muhle (Thomas); and Beth Robinson (Jon); 4 granddaughters – Melissa (Jim), Alex, Angela and Sara; 4 grandsons – Dustin (Dani), Joe, Dan and David; 2 great-granddaughters – Claire and Emily; 1 great-grandson – Andrew; brother, Bob (Gloria); sister, Dianna Dankel (Bill); and Mia, his beloved furry companion. VISITATION is Monday, May 8 from 5 to 7pm with the Celebration of Life Service at 7pm at Roeder Mortuary, 11710 Standing Stone, Gretna. GRAVESIDE SERVICE with military honors Tuesday, May 9, at 2pm at Evergreen Cemetery, 2300 S. 78th Street, Omaha. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Nebraska Humane Society.

Elaine L. Krumme (Spier)

2/2/1937 – 5/1/2017

Born in Nebraska City to parents Walter and Emma (Vrtiska) Spier, both deceased. She grew up in Omaha, graduated from South High School. Received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Peru State College and a Master’s Degree from UNO in Guidance and Counseling. She taught and counseled for 37 years in the Omaha Public Schools having served at Benson High, Beveridge Jr/Sr. High, Central High and the Central Office. Elaine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles E. (Chuck) Krumme, Two children, Dave (Lisa) Krumme and Jodie (Jeff) Lenser, Two granddaughters, Emily and Madison Lenser, Sister-in-law Carole (Tom) Rezac, and many cousins and nephews. Elaine was a member of the Omaha Retired Educators Organization and Kappa Kappa Iota, a National Honorary Teacher’s Sorority. Past president of the Omaha Area Peru Alumni Association. After retirement Elaine enjoyed part time living in both Omaha and Okoboji, Iowa.

Visitation Thursday 5-7 PM at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N 108th Street Omaha, NE. Memorial Service Friday (5/5/17) 11:00 AM at Presbyterian Church of the Cross 1517 S. 114th Street Omaha, NE. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society or the Peru State College Foundation, Peru, NE.

Erwin Buechler

Erwin Buechler, Age 90 of Omaha, NE passed away on April 27, 2017.  He was born on April 27, 1927 in Highmore, South Dakota to August and Emma (Settler) Buechler.  Erwin was a Veteran of the US Air Force.  He married Norma Spath in Orchard, NE on February 17, 1951.  He enjoyed gambling, fishing, playing cards and his pets.  Erwin was preceded in death by: daughter: Rosemary, great-grandson: Jordan Armstrong and sister: Glayds Moffet.  Survived by wife of 66 years Norma, children: David, Susan and Linda Buechler, Denise Melia (Rory), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation with Family 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday May 2nd at Roeder Mortuary – 108th St. Chapel, 2727 N. 108th Street Omaha, Nebraska with the Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 P.M.   Private Family Inurnment will take place at a later date.
