Served in the USMC and was on the Omaha Fire Department for 27 years. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Virginia Folkers and brother, Herman Folkers Jr. Survived by daughter, Jennifer Folkers; brothers in-law, Nathan (Tari) Asche and Leonard Asche; sister in-law, Candace DeFord; nephews and nieces, Anthony Beauchamp, Nicholas Asche, Taylor Asche, Astrid Asche, Aaron Asche and Jason DeFord.

VISITATION Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 1-3pm followed by a MEMORIAL SERVICE at 3pm all at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel.

Donald “Don” Richard Hindmarsh

Age 85

 

Donald “Don” Richard Hindmarsh,, returned to his heavenly home on March 31, 2016 after a life of devotion to his family and a firm belief in God.  Don is remembered by his greatest gifts to the world; his sense of humor and his loving dedication to his family. Don was born in Wood River, Nebraska on November 29, 1930.  He served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sargeant in the Korean War.  Upon returning home, he married his best friend, Rosemary O’Brien from Grand Island, NE. Married 59+ years, they brought into the world 7 wonderful children. His pride and joy was spending time with his children and grandchildren, making a positive impact in each of their lives. Don was also a successful businessman beginning at Hindmarsh Chevrolet with his father in Wood River, NE. Working hard the next 45+ years with Chevrolet, he achieved many successes in Louisville , KY before starting his own Chevy dealership in Red Oak, IA. Retired in Omaha, NE, he sold real estate and kept busy helping out his family and friends. Described by many as intelligent, witty, and selfless; Don brought life, love and laughter into everything he did. Don was preceded in death by his daughters Julie and Lori; parents Donald and Anne; sisters, Joann Shafer and Mary Lou Russell; brother James Hindmarsh; brother-in-law Larry Bellamy.  He is survived by his wife Rosemary of 59 years; his children, Linda, Kevin and wife Karin, Patty and husband Dick, Paula, and Geri and husband Jim; grandchildren Jill, Jared, Kelli, Brett, Luke, Jenna, McKale, John, and Danny and great grandchild Lucas; many nephews, nieces, and friends. A VISITATION will be held Sunday, April 3rd at Roeder Mortuary 2727 North 108th Street from 4-6 PM along with a 6 PM Prayer Service. A FUNERAL MASS is scheduled for Monday, April 4th at 10:30 am, Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 14330 Eagle Run Drive, Omaha   In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Open Door Mission, and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Roy Spencer

Mr. Roy Lee Spencer’s journey in life began on February 14, 1968, in Dumas, Arkansas. He was the third of six children born to Delzoria Click and the late Wallace George Spencer, Jr. Roy Lee was lovingly reared by Ruthie Hall. He departed this life on March 25, 2016.

Roy Lee graduated from Dumas High School in Dumas, Arkansas in 1986. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the New Vision Outreach Ministry, Omaha, Nebraska, under the leadership of Rev. Lovell Horton. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Farmer on March 15, 1998, in Omaha, Nebraska.

Roy Lee enjoyed life and had a passion for fixing cars. He simply loved his cars; fixing cars, driving cars, and he turned this passion into a life-long hobby, building a wonderful collection of model cars over the years.

As we celebrate the life he lived, he leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife: Mary Ann Spencer; four daughters: Yashica Bearfield (James), Roylesha O’Neal (Alex), LaQuisha Spencer and Ambrielle Thornton; one son: Roykeyvius Spencer, Jr. all of Omaha, Nebraska; eight brothers: Tyrone Spencer, Daniel Spencer, Anthony Spencer, Willie Spencer, and Kenny Berry of Omaha, Nebraska, Tony Click of Oklahoma, Wallace Spencer, III (Mable) of Eldorado, Arkansas, Alfonzo Click of Lake Village, Arkansas, and Ben Robinson (Shawn) of Kansas City, Missouri; nine sisters: Ruby Spencer of California, Joyce Taylor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Gwen Spencer of Gould, Arkansas, Dorothy Spencer and Linda Faye Spencer of Dumas, Arkansas, Pamela Hampton, Tina Hampton, Ericka Spencer and Venus Spencer of Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jamarion Henry, Jamilya and Jamison Bearfield, Kay-Lynn Spencer, Roykeyvious Spencer, Jr. and Javarion Baines, Juli-lonna Vaughn of Omaha, Nebraska; mother-in-law: Ella Farmer of Winchester, Arkansas; seven sisters-in-law: Patricia Farmer, Darlene Farmer, Faye Farmer of Omaha, Nebraska, Annette Farmer, Brenda Farmer, Alice Farmer and La-Kesha Farmer of Conway, Arkansas; three brothers-in-law: Jessie Farmer, Willie Earl Farmer and Arrell Farmer of Winchester, Arkansas; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many cherished friends.

Roy Lee was preceded in death by his father: Wallace George Spencer, Jr.; grandfather: Wallace Spencer, Sr.; grandmother: Mary Spencer; and brothers.
