DOROTHY L. SCHEER

November 14, 1919, to September 18, 2015

 

Dorothy L Scheer passed away at her home in Omaha, NE. She was born in Des Moines, IA, daughter of Hermann and Lily Love Lorenzen. After graduating from Central H.S. in Omaha, she later married Carl E. Scheer. They raised four children to know and love the Lord. Dorothy was the beloved matriarch of her family, treating everyone she knew with kindness and respect, and becoming a strong Christian role model in the way she lived her life.

Dorothy is survived by her four children: Lynne Eifert of Omaha; John (Judy) Scheer of Lincoln; Donna Willet of Lincoln; Robert (Debra) Scheer of Woodland, WA; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by loving husband Carl, two brothers, two sisters, and son-in-law Steve Willet.

Visitation on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Roeder Mortuary. 2727 N. 108th St. Service at 10 am Thursday, September 24, at Bethany Lutheran Church, 5151 NW Radial Hwy.

Memorials are suggested to the church or the Omaha YMCA.

Preceded in death by son, Robert Morris. Survived by sons, James Coleman, Tyrone Morris and Willie Morris and longtime friend, David Franks. A private family service will be held.
