Stephen Barker

Age 88

2/13/1927 – 9/18/2015

Born Feb. 13, 1927 to Stephen R. and Henrietta (Allen) Barker in Omaha, NE, where he lived all his life. He was raised by his father and stepmother Nina (Armstrong) Barker. He attended Tech and graduated from North High in 1945. During his life he was an Eagle Scout, meat cutter, master carpenter, and OSHA inspector. He served in the Army 1945-1946. He was a strong and contributing member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and later Trinity Cathedral. He was a lifelong member of Covert Masonic lodge. Preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gwyn and daughter Marjorie. He is survived by son Stephen M. Barker, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. His ashes will be interred at Spring Well Danish Cemetery next to his wife and grandparents.
