Survived by sons John (Patricia), Michael, grandchildren Melissa (Steve), Jason, Matthew, 3 great grandchildren, siblings Patty Rhedin, Karen Babb, Ted (Sue) Jensen, many nieces, nephews, family  & friends. Former auxiliary member and husband John was a charter member of Ponca Hills Vol. Fire Dept.

Visitation Wednesday (2/18/2015) 5-7 PM, Funeral Service Thursday (2/19/2015) 11:00 AM at Roeder Mortuary – Ames Chapel. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

FUNERAL SERVICE Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at 1pm with VISITATION one hour prior at Roeder Mortuary 108th Street Chapel. Luncheon following services at Presbyterian Church of the Master.

Retired from the City of Omaha as Park Superintendent with 34 Years of Service. Preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Norton; and brother, Rolland Heston. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Joanne Heston; son, Steve (Candy) Heston; daughter, Cathi (Frank) May; grandchildren, Matthew (Michelle), Erika (Dave), and Ryan (Adrian); great grandchildren, Tyler, Macyn, Gage, Londyn, and Lauryn; brother, Bob Heston; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

5/19/1912 – 2/12/2015

Preceded in death by parents, Delbert and Elma Fulton; brother, Del Fulton; husband, Robert Alexander; and son-in-law, Walter Horning. Survived by daughters, Marietta Horning and Barbara Levin (Harvey); grandchildren, Deb Johnson (Gary), Lisa Mertensotto (Tom), Jaime Rogers, Laura Nemeck (Lad); 8 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Muriel was born and educated in Wichita, KS. She attended KS State University and graduated from UNO. She pursued her library career until the mid 60’s when she and Robert retired and travelled the world. Our “KS Sunflower” has joined her beloved husband in heaven.

MEMORIAL SERVICE in the chapel at Dundee Presbyterian Church, 5312 Underwood Avenue on February 16, 2015 at 11am. Memorials suggested to Dundee Presbyterian Church Music Ministry.
