RPL will be greatly missed by many. Especially the 35 little ones that fondly know him as Papa. His wit, humor and sage advice is a rarity. His culinary skills have earned him some celebrity in Southwest Florida and flocks gather in the spring upon his return from the Sunshine State to eat up whatever he would serve. Papa was a man of impeccable character. He paid every debt, every tax (and then some); always told the truth and always overtipped. Quite literally one of the funniest people I have ever met in my entire life. He always took the time to listen to and engage all the grandchildren of every age. He was always willing to share his popcorn and share a joke. We miss him already. His memory, his songs and Pasta a la Richard shall live on in the next generation of the grandchildren who were fortunate enough to call him Papa.
