Travis James Lyles was born August 12, 1956 to Travis Henry Lyles and Lorraine Mae Ware Lyles in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the third child of 4 children. Travis J. Lyles received his formal education at Clifton Hill Grade School, Monroe Junior High School and Benson High School. He attended UNO where he majored in music.
Travis enjoyed life. He was always smiling, cracking jokes and laughing. Besides Jesus, Travis first and only love was music. Work was only there to provide what is needed to live and towards any needs in music such as instruments, sheet music and payment for instructions. Travis spent time in the recording studios in Flora, IL and at Selah Sounds and Rainbow Studio in Omaha, Ne.
Travis is preceded in death by his father, Travis H. Lyles and his mother, Lorraine Mae Ware Lyles. He leaves to cherish loving memories with: sisters Karen Lyles and Paula Gilliam Anderson both from Omaha, Nebraska; brother Kevin Lyles and sister-in-law Kimberly Lyles, of Omaha, Nebraska. Nieces; Dana Hutchinson of Tucker, Georgia; Nicole Gilliam of Springfield, Virginia; Korynne Lyles of Omaha, Nebraska. Nephews: Jimmy Anderson of Omaha, NE; Dubois Gilliam of Gilbert, Arizona (Alisha) and Kevin Lyles Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska. Friend; Donna Williams of Omaha, NE. A number of great nieces and nephews.
