Bill came to San Diego to scuba dive with me in the late 1970’s. I am so thankful that I knew him long enough to laugh at his jokes more than once. A great Patriot, relative and friend!
Missing his great one liners, loved him
I’m so very sorry for your loss. It’s comforting to know that we have a Heavenly Father who knows our inner-most struggles to come to terms with our loss. I recently lost a brother, a sister-in-law and most recently a best friend so I can sympathize with your pain. I found a comforting scripture at 2 Corithians 1:3-4 which speaks of Jehovah as the God of all comfort who comforts us in all of our trials. I hope this brings you the same comfort as it has me. I didn’t know Bill well but I do know he was such a great neighbor. Bill always stopped by the house to say hello. I will always remember Bill pulling up to our driveway the very first time we met him as we were building our home and jokingly telling me “I was too young to be building that house”. We loved his constant barrage of jokes and other one-liners and he was always so nice to our children every time we had the chance to say hi. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mona and the rest of the family has Bill transitions from this life to the next.
I only got to meet Bill a few times but he always made me feel welcomed and took time to give me a few kind words of praise for being the new girl to the KWVA meetings. He was simply a sweetheart and it pains my heart to know he has been lost to us in this lifetime.
This is very disrespectful to leave what amounts an advertisement on the obituary of a US Korean War Veteran.
Bill was a great man and will be greatly missed. He could be counted on for many jokes and was often surrounded by laughter.
My heart goes out to his wife and family, let them know that all of us at Bill’s KWVA Nebraska Chapter 1 family are thinking of them and missing this wonderful man.
